Kelly Rowland has responded to rumours that Destiny’s Child are set to reunite.

The pop group had previously be reported to be eyeing a return for Beyoncé’s Coachella headline set next year. The star will top the bill at the Californian festival in April after she was forced to pull out this year due to pregnancy.

Speaking to People, Rowland said: “I have no idea about any of that.” The initial rumours had sprung from fans speculating that past members Michelle Williams and LaTavia Roberson had been dropping hints about a springtime reunion.

“I just asked a fan about that,” Rowland said about the so-called clues fans had been hunting for. “They were like, ‘Because it’s just cool.’ They used the L word and said legends. I mean, I gladly accept that very much, but it’s nothing that we recently talked about.”

Destiny’s Child last played together in February 2013 when Rowland and Williams joined Beyoncé at her Super Bowl halftime show.

Meanwhile, last year Roberson took to Twitter to defend her contribution to the group. After thanking the group’s fans on behalf of herself and former bandmates Beyonce and Kelly Rowland, some fans responded negatively by questioning her role in Destiny’s Child’s history.

Roberson co-founded the group with Beyonce in 1990, and would remain a member until after the release of their second album, ‘The Writing’s On The Wall’, in 1999.

When a follower quoted her tweet, asking, “who are you?”, Roberson replied: “LaTavia Marie Roberson founding member of the ICONIC girl group Destiny’s Child.”
