On Wednesday Lupita Nyong’o appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her upcoming film Queen of Katwe.
In her interview, the actress revealed how she met Beyoncé and Jay Z and had the best reaction to being name dropped in the Jay Z song, “We Made It.”

“I felt like the coolest kid ever,” said Nyong’o when asked about the shout out. “I was actually taking some repose in Massachusetts when my brother started sending me all these voice notes with screaming and saying ‘Jay-Z, Jay-Z, yo.’”
“And I was like, ‘what are you on about?’ And he sent me the link, and then I heard it! I heard, ‘I’m on my Lu-pi-ta Nyong’o.’ And I was like ‘WHAAAAT?!’” An excited Nyong’o recounts.
