Since the death of her husband, singer David Bowie, in January, supermodel Iman remained out of the public eye, sharing occasional posts of her iconic husband on her Instagram page.

Making her first appearance since his death at New York Fashion Week’s Tom Ford show, the 61-year-old opened up about losing Bowie and shares how she’s been doing since his death.

“I’m holding up, I’m holding up,” she tells Good Morning America’s correspondent Joe Zee while wearing a necklace around her neck that reads “David.”

“I’m wearing it until my death,” said Iman, recalling that with the passing of her mother, “it’s been a tough year, but I’m holding up.”

We're sending Iman our love and support during this difficult time.
