For the past week or so, hundreds of talented lyricists and just fans of all things Monica have been sharing videos of themsleves rapping over an instrumental of her 2003 hit “So Gone” as part of the #SoGoneChallenge.
The viral trend has resulted in an endless amount of unforgettable video clips where we’ve seen people of every race, gender and age channel their inner rapper with impressive freestyles, but the latest person to join the challenge has pretty much stolen the show.

Hopping on the “So Gone” beat with a fiery freestyle and a few high notes as the song’s original producer Missy Elliot gets her groove on in the background, Monica herself decided to come through and show us all how it’s done.
