Rihanna, who was to headline the first-ever Lollapalooza Colombia scheduled for September, has pulled out as a preventative measure.

No one is taking the Zika virus lightly. Many athletes and Olympians have expressed they would not be competing or would be taking extreme caution at the Rio Olympics this summer in Brazil. 

Zika concerns aren’t only affecting athletes. Rihanna, who was to headline the first-ever Lollapalooza Colombia scheduled for September, has pulled out as a preventative measure. Following Rihanna’s announcement, the festival has been cancelled and tickets will be refunded.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a travel alert, level 2, on the Zika inflicted country earlier in April.
