As Michelle Obama's eight-year stretch in the White House slowly comes to an end, the very fly First Lady opens up about her most "profound experiences" as FLOTUS.
The public is getting a deeper look inside the life of First Lady, Michelle Obama. On the same day that Madame FLOTUS announced she had just joined Snapchat as MichelleObama, MAKERS released a new video featuring Mrs. Obama’s journey to becoming the first Black First Lady of the United States.
In the video, Michelle talks about her childhood and achieving the “traditional indicators of success.” The First Lady has always had a passion for addressing issues and fostering community.
She describes husband President Barack Obama’s presidential inauguration as “one of the most profoundly moving experiences” of her life.
“I realized that as first lady you can bring so much attention and marshal so many resources to really help on whatever issue that you’re focused on,” she says. “I have always taken that responsibility very seriously.”
Which is why Madame FLOTUS has introduced her Snapchat platform. In her first snap the First Lady dropped some big news.
She announced that she will be the next guest to join James Corden for a segment of “Carpool Karaoke,” giving her followers a behind-the-scenes look into its filming.
