In life, it can be rare to find your true purpose, but a new movement is hoping to change that.

June 20 marked the first-ever Day of Purpose, an international movement that challenges individuals around the world to live a life of purpose and intentionality.

“Whether you’re just starting to think about your purpose, or you’ve been living a purpose-oriented life for years, today is for YOU!” the movement says on its website. “It is for all of us. On the International #DayOfPurpose, we can encourage each other to be our best selves, on purpose.”

The movement has attracted the attention of influentials like Janelle Monae, Tai Beauchamp, Luvvie and Karmin, who have all vowed to live the best versions of themselves—not only on June 20, but every day of their lives.

Jovian Zayne, who spearheaded the effort, wants people to recognize their own passions and purposes in life and spread it to the world.

“On this day, we can examine our habits and see if they move us closer to our purpose or further away,” reads the website. And unlike the other days when we lived carelessly, we should be intentional and engage in behavior that allows us to use our authentic gives to serve the world, on purpose.”

How are you living your life with purpose?
