President Obama outs himself as a feminist during a powerful speech at the very first United State of Women Summit in Washington D.C.
Tuesday, The White House hosted the very first United State of Women Summit where President Obama delivered a powerful speech about the equality of girls and women globally and outed himself as a feminist.
First acknowledging the phenomenal women present, Obama remarked, “I know you’re really here to see Michelle… or Oprah,” before admitting, “I cannot compete with them.”
“I did want to stop by and make one thing very clear,” said the president. “I may be a little grayer than I was eight years ago, but this is what a feminist looks like.”
His affirmation, of course, prompted a roaring applause.
