Political activist and author Angela Davis is getting a biopic.
Deadline reports that film and television company The Firm has acquired an untitled script from Shameless writer LaToya Morgan, who was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for her on AMC's Turn: Washington’s Spies.
The biopic will focus on the accusations that Davis conspired to murder a federal judge and the trial that occurred during the racially turbulent early-70s.
Davis' life was previously documented in the critically-acclaimed documentary, Free Angela and All Political Prisoners.
