"Baby it's ok to be scared, but it's more important to be who you are! You don't have a choice really!" the singer wrote.
Sure, most celebrities love their fans, but Rihanna has always been known to go above and beyond for them. However, this time the singer has taken things to new heights by helping a fan come out of the closet.
Rihanna has been privately helping a fan come out by giving them advice via Twitter. The fan wishes to remain anonymous, but told BuzzFeed that they'd opened up to the singer months ago because they felt they had no one else to turn to. Since then RiRi has been helping them slowly come out. In one message she wrote,
"Baby it's ok to be scared, but it's more important to be who you are! You don't have a choice really! That's not a decision to be made! You are who you are, and as hard as it may seem, the best shit ever is freedom and peace within yourself! Your family may not understand, but luckily you live in a generation that does!! And not to mention the community here among us, we will hold you down boo!!! #NavyRdie"
The fan said that it's been hard for him to come out as a gay Black man, but Rihanna's advice has been incredibly helpful. He hopes to be fully out by July, when he plans to meet the singer during her ANTI tour.
