Inside the April issue of InStyle, actress and beauty icon Lupita Nyong'o talks candidly about diversity in Hollywood, her competitive streak, and she even reveals her beauty secrets, that we must say, are rather honest and relatable. As a brand ambassador for Lancôme, the 33-year-old knows a bit about makeup, but surprisingly her biggest secret is all about skincare.

"One beauty secret my mother taught me is to wear lotion," says Nyong'o. "I use a lot of coconut oil, shea butter, and Advanced Genifique by Lancome is also my friend."

In addition to moisturizing her skin, Nyong’o loves touch and makes it a point to indulge in massages. “I can't live without massage,” she says. “I think it's very relaxing and it's also just good for your health, and nice to have that human touch.”
