Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas has no plans on slowing down her quest for gold in 2016 and she proved so on Saturday. 

Douglas won the American Cup during competition in New Jersey, USA TODAY reports.

The win helped silence any doubt that her 2016 Olympuc comeback in Rio will be anything short of amazing.

"From the bottom of my heart, I really believe that I can achieve more," she said. "And it's not just for the wrong intentions. I'm like 'Guys, I'm back. I'm serious.' I feel like graduatlly more and more I keep proving that, I really hope that people believe it."
