Former Pimp My Ride host Xzibit has been recruited to play Leslie “Shyne” Johnson on the hip-hop drama Empire. Described as “100% wolf, 100% gangster,” his rags-to-riches story parallels that of Lucious’. Feeling excluded by media moguls and heavy hitters in the music industry, Shyne wants to take his rightful place at the top.
‘Empire’ Renewed for Third Season
While the number of episodes featuring Xzibit have not been confirmed, co-creator Danny Strong told The Hollywood Reporter in January that the remaining episodes of this season were “going to be way lighter on the celebrity guest stars.”
