The needless drama surrounding Beyoncé’s “Formation” seems to be never-ending, but at this point the backlash from police is no longer surprising.

Tennessee Sheriff Blames Beyoncé for Drive-by Shooting

Ed Mullins, president of New York’s Sergeants Benevolent Association, says he supports the Miami police union’s decision to boycott Beyoncé’s Formation tour. He told Pix 11 News:

“Law enforcement across the country has to make a statement that we’re not bad guys and she’s got to stop portraying us as bad guys.”

A former homicide detective, who now runs an international security business, added:

“As much as I like business, I would not provide any security personnel for her concerts.”

Mullins plans to explore the boycott idea with board members, but hopes that he can get the opportunity to meet with Beyoncé personally to discuss the issue. We think Bey already said everything she has to say about these issues in her video.
