Lamar Odom's long road to recovery has found a bright spot.

TMZ states that the former two-time NBA Champ reportedly walked on his own over the weekend and was able to recognize the faces of a few people.

Odom took three steps without his walker before needing assistance from medical personnel. In addition to making strides physically, Odom was also able to remember the face of a hospital staffer.

Doctors feared that Odom had suffered severe brain damage following the October overdose that left him unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel and in a coma for several days thereafter.

We're happy to hear of Lamar's progress and send prayers his way as he continues to get better.
