Miss Universe 2015 host Steve Harvey suffered an embarrassing moment Sunday when he wrongfully declared Miss Colombia the winner of the competition when Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach from the Phillippines actually won.
Harvey took full responsibility for the mishap and apologized to the audience saying, “OK folks … I have to apologize. Let me just take control of this. This is exactly what’s on the card. I will take responsibility for this. It was my mistake. It was on the card.”
He then sent out an apology on Twitter following the show.
I’d like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible.
