Ohio residents won’t be passing “it” to the left hand side (legally, at least), following the rejection of Issue 3, a ballot measure that would have made recreational and medicinal use of marijuana legal.
According to New York Daily News, former 98 Degrees star Nick Lachey is especially disappointed in the decision simply because it could have made him a very rich man.
Lachey co-owns a 29-acre marijuana farm outside of Akron, Ohio and could have come into a lot of money if the measure had been passed.
The singer took to Twitter to weigh in on the decision saying, “While I may not agree, the people of Ohio have spoken and that’s the way it’s supposed to work. Change takes time. #democracy #respect.”
Marijuana has become a hot button topic as Colorado, Oregon and Washington D.C., Washington and Alaska have given medicinal and recreational use the green light. Change may take time, but do you think Marijuana legalization is something that should change on a wide scale?
