We remember what it's like: It's not always easy being a kid. A Whitney Houston book would teach them that even though they might not be "grown up," the world would be a sad, dark place without them.

For Whitney Houston fans, this could be the greatest gift of all.

The late, great singer will become the next performer to be brought back to life as a hologram. On Friday, Hologram USA announced their plans to develop a digital version of the star to perform a “live” concert in 2016 at a major venue. With consent from Houston’s estate, the company will then send the hologram on tour.

The good news: It looks like the Houston family is on board. “It’s a great opportunity for her fans to see a reinvention of one the most celebrated female artists in history and to continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come,” said Houston’s sister-in-law Pat Houston, the head of the late singer’s estate in a statement.

Michael Jackson, Tupac and Selena are other legends who have already been resurrected as holograms to perform for fans.
