Solange delivered a powerful cover of Nina Simones 'To Be Young, Gifted and Black' at this weekend's FYF Festival. Check out her moving tribute.
Solange is definitely 'Young, Gifted and Black' so it was only fitting that she delivered a cover of the classic Nina Simone song during her Sunday set at the FYF Festival.
Along with Dev Haynes, Moses Sumney and soul trio KING, Solange offered up a powerful rendition.
The star took to Instagram to open up about the special moment saying, "I truly feel proud to say in this moment I felt so young, gifted and black, something I for so long felt like I should never say out loud. I am so forever grateful for the moments I got to sing these words with such beautiful people, in front of such beautiful people."
