According to arrest records, Singletary—a special assistant to President Barack Obama and the House legislative affairs liaison—aimed a gun and then shot at her boyfriend, who is a Capitol Police officer at the president's home, because her refused to let her see his cellphone.
Singletary pulled the officer's 40 caliber Glock 23 service gun and allegedly said, "You taught me how to use this, don't think I won't use it."
It began when Singletary invited the officer to her Upper Marlboro, Maryland home on Friday morning to have a sexual encounter. She reportedly questioned him about a woman he was dating. After he refused to answer her questions, she asked him to go outside. They went to his Cadillac Escalade, where she retrieved his cellphones and a gun from his bag.
