The Steve Harvey Morning Show welcomed ESSENCE Magazine's President, Michelle Ebanks, with open arms as she called in to the hilarious program to talk all things ESSENCE Fest 2015.

This year, every single host of the nationally syndicated program is set to play a role during our highly anticipated festival weekend.  Steve Harvey will help singles find love in a new segment called, The Dating Show.  Harvey's co-host Nephew Tommy is returning to host the MainStage throughout the music-filled weekend and Shirley Strawberry will host an important panel called  The State of the Black Community during our ESSENCE Empowerment Experience.

One of the main focuses of this Festival includes powerful and moving conversation.  During her interview, Ebanks emphasized the conversations that started during the debut of our February 2015 'Black Lives Matter' cover would continue in New Orleans.  "It's an important time in our country," Ebanks said.  "The ESSENCE Festival is a national conversation.  It's entertainment but it's also community building."
