Where and how did you meet your man?
His son and my son actually play on the same football team, so we attended all of the practices but never really said anything to each other. I made the t-shirts for the team and he emailed me about a problem with his order and we have literally been talking ever since. It was so crazy because both of us were attracted to each other the whole time and never said anything.
What was your past dating life like?
I have dated a few guys in long relationships and none of them seemed to be exactly “right.” My dad said I was too picky and found something wrong with everyone. I didn’t have that problem with Brian, which is how I knew immediately he was the one.
Were you looking for love at the time?
I was not looking for love at all! This took me totally by surprise. But when it happened, I knew it was right.
What was your first impression of him?
I was so attracted to him and I loved that he had a great sense of style. I loved his eyes; I thought he was so handsome.
Did you play hard to get? (Be honest!)
I tried to play hard to get but that didn’t work. He had such a great personality and I loved being around him. I really wanted to date him!
At what moment did you know he was “The One” for you?
I knew he was the one about a week after I met him. We were at Lowe’s! I was so into him and he was so into me.
Sweetest thing he has ever done for you?
He took me out to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, gave me flowers and had a “staycation” at the W hotel. I loved every minute of it!
Did you have a hunch he was going to propose?
Once I saw my family and his family at my birthday dinner I thought maybe it was a possibility.
How did he pop the question?
He popped the question at my birthday dinner. He invited friends and family to dinner and proposed right after the cake came out in the middle of the restaurant. The whole restaurant applauded. It was the best night of my life!
