TGIF! Here are the hot topics that are keeping us warm on this wintry Friday:
“Humans of New York” goes to Washington! After blogger Brandon Stint shared a pic of 13-year-old Vidal Chastanet praising his supportive principal, Nadia Lopez, on his blog, which features everyday New Yorkers, the post went viral. Thousands of people donated more than $1 million to the Brooklyn middle school, which takes its students on an annual visit to Harvard. Since gaining national fame, Vidal has appeared on The Ellen Show, and yesterday, the middle schooler and Lopez were invited to meet with President Obama. The pair even got to cozy up with Mr. President in the Oval Office! [Humans of New York]
