Two Chicago lawyers are brought together by fate and desperation in Martin Lawrence's new show, Partners, premiering August 4 on FX. Lawrence plays Marcus Jackson, a community activitist who is going through a divorce. Jackson meets Allen Braddock, played by Kelsey Grammar, a high-rolling lawyer who has just been fired from his father's elite firm. The two decide to work together in an attempt to find order in both their personal and professional lives.
In the featured clip, you get a look at Jackson's family life, which involves his mother and her bridge buddies.
The "odd couple" show marks Lawrence's return to television and comes from the makers of Girlfriends, The Game and Living SIngle.
Partners airs August 4 at 9pm ET on FX.
