In what will surely be dubbed one of the greatest moves by any artist in history, Beyonce released a suprise album without marketing or a publicity machine. She made iTunes (and music) history by selling close to a million copies in less than a week. That album and its songs would go on to earn six Grammy nominations, making her the most Grammy Award-nominated female artist of all time.

Beyonce has brought her #BEYGOOD to her hometown, Houston, to rid the city of hunger.

Beyonce is teaming up with The Bread of Life, Miss-A-Meal, the Houston Food Bank, and The Box and Majic 102.1 to bring food to impoverished Houston families. The plan is to eradicate hunger for over 870,000 families that are currently suffering, according to a statement.

And fans can get in on the action too by donating at least five non-persihable food items for a chance to win pit tickets to the On The Run Tour at Minute Maid Park this Friday, July 18th.

Fans are asked to bring donations to the St. John's Parking Lot at 1703 Gray Street in Houston. Local radio station, 97.9 The Box, will be there, doing a live broadcast, and heading the competition for tickets. Winning tickets are given out at 2pm each day.
