Why Tracy, why? The comedian started a firestorm when reports of his homophobic rant flooded the Internet on June 10. Tracy later apologized for saying he would murder his son if he told him he was gay. “I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words,” he said in a statement. “I’m not a hateful person.”

Tracy Morgan is going home.

It’s been more than a month since a multi-car collision left the comedian and three others seriously injured. After being transferred to a rehabilitation center two weeks ago, doctors have given Morgan the okay to return home.

Yesterday, Morgan’s reps released a formal statement to E! News saying, "Tracy has been released from the rehabilitation center and will continue his recovery efforts at home with an aggressive outpatient program.”

This news comes on the heels of a recent lawsuit Morgan, along with three other survivors, filed against Walmart claiming negligence of the Walmart truck driver.

The actor's rep also said, "He [Tracy] asked me to pass along his sincerest gratitude to everyone who has helped him get to this point. He would also appreciate some privacy during this crucial point..."

We wish Tracy a healthy and speedy recovery!
