The news of 234 schoolgirls being abducted by Nigerian separatist group Boko Haram on April 15 has sparked outrage on social media and beyond. Thousands have mobilized behind the #BringOurGirlsBack hashtag to raise awareness about the 200 or so girls who still haven't returned (34 reportedly escaped) to their families. yesterday, dozens gathered outside Nigeria's parliament to pressure government to do more to find the girls.

A change.org petition address to Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan and UNICEF currently has over 70,000 signatures.
