The talk show host was honored with a star on the Walk of Fame for his long-running program.
Tavis Smiley was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today.
Smiley was recognized for his talk show, which kicked off its 11th season this past January. Guest speakers Jay Leno and Larry King helped unveil the star for the host. “Tavis Smiley is an inspiration to our generation and future leaders. He continues to deliver entertainment, advocacy and politics with his honest conversations,” said Leron Gubler, President & CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Smiley will be inducted into the Walk Of Fame alongside Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Giancarlo Esposito, Orlando Bloom, Matthew McConaughey and Rick Springfield. Comedian Phil Hartman will also receive a posthumous star.
