The John Ridley-directed film will make it's U.S. debut at the SXSW Film Festival.
The Jimi Hendrix biopic All Is By My Side features Outkast front man Andre "3000" Benjamin channeling the late musician in what seems to be the perfect matchup. Clips of the film, set to screen at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas have surfaced on the Internet.
In this clip, Hendrix talks with a prospective manager about taking his talents to London. "It's not about style. I want my music to go inside the soul of a person," says Hendrix explaining that he wants his music to step outside of the genre box.
The film, written and directed by 12 Years a Slave screenwriter John Ridley, does not have a U.S release date yet.
