At a pre-Oscars soiree the media and rap legend put up their peace signs for an Instagram photo.
Oprah Winfrey and Snoop Dogg posed for a photo at a pre-Oscars party on Friday in Los Angeles.
The stars put up their peace signs and looked especially happy to have finally met. Oprah captioned the photo "Our first meeting. Say WHAAAT??!! #Oscarparty."
The media and rap heavyweights haven't always seen eye to eye; in a feud that began back in 2007, Winfrey spoke out about her dislike for rap music, criticizing the genre for misogynistic themes and naming Snoop as a prime culprit.
Snoop fired back saying that the talk show queen never gave him a chance to defend himself or got to know him. "I don't like her no more. I really was offended, because I kind of like her." said the rapper. "Liked her. I'm very articulate, very intellectual. She didn't even get a chance to even know me."
Oprah and Snoop seemed to have buried the hatchet, Snoop even posed for another flick with Oprah and her best friend, Gayle King, captioning the photo "Black History."
The pre-Oscar party was one of many to kick of this years history-making 86th annual Academy Awards ceremony.
