• Kanye West expressed frustration with this year’s Grammy nominations. During a show in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday the rapper expressed his disappointment in not being nominated for the Album of the Year category. “I’m 36 years old and I have 21 Grammys—that’s the most Grammys of any 36 year old,” he said. “Out of all those 21 Grammys, I’ve never won a Grammy against a white artist.” [Hollywood Reporter]
• Forbes released its ’10 Highest Paid Women in Music’ list for 2013. The roundup includes Beyoncé ($53 million), Rihanna ($43 million), Mariah Carey ($29 million) and Nicki Minaj ($29 million). The totals were gathered from income earned from June 1, 2012 through June 1, 2013. The list compiles data sources, ticket sales, music royalties, publishing endorsement deals and business ventures.
