Let’s go ahead and crown Shonda Rhimes the hardest working gladiator on television.
The Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy showrunner is adding one more drama to her already successful roster. Shadow and Act reports Rhimes and her producing partner Betsy Beers—through their Shondaland production company—have sold ABC a crime drama called Just Rewards about a divorcee who enlists her underemployed neighbors to make money by revisiting unsolved crimes.
This is the third new Rhimes project sold to ABC in the last three months. In July Shondaland sold Lawless, based on the life of trucker-turned-lawyer Wynona Ward, and an untitled cop drama in August. The busy mom of three is also reportedly writing the screenplay to a movie titled War Correspondents.
Shonda Rhimes certainly deserves our applause.
