Hardwick will play a man whose life becomes complicated when his two worlds collide.
Omari Hardwick is set to star in the upcoming Starz's drama Power, reports Deadline.com.
Hardwick will play James "Ghost" St. Patrick, a New York City nightclub owner, who lives a double life. When he's not hustling to expand his business, he's working as one of the city's biggest drug lords.
St. Patrick's family, marriage and budding business becomes jeopardized when he tries to drop his life as a kingpin.
Starz managing director Carni Zlotnik says, "When we met Omari, we knew he had all the tools needed to play such a complicated and complex character."
Hardwick has been busy as of late. He recently starred in the BET original drama Being Mary Jane, which will be broken out into episodes at the top of 2014.
