Miguel was arrested in Los Angeles Thursday morning for driving under the influence.
The singer’s 2013 BMW X6 was stopped by California Highway Patrol around 2:00 AM for speeding and illegal window tint. Once asked to get out of the car, police say that Miguel smelled of alcohol and failed several sobriety tests.
The 27-year-old was also given a breathalyzer test which recorded a .10 and .11, which is far over the .08 legal limit in California.
The police took Miguel into custody where he was booked and released on $5,000 bail only hours later.
Miguel is scheduled to appear in court next month.
