See why we’re sipping dark coffee.

•After spending almost a week in the ICU, Usher’s son Usher Raymond V has been released from the hospital and is recovering well. The five-year-old, who was rushed to the hospital last Tuesday after a pool accident at Usher’s home in Atlanta, was sent home with a large white bandage around his arm. His grandmother took him to a bounce park for a day of fun following his release. Last week Usher’s son almost drown after his hand got stuck in a pool drain while attempting to grab a toy underwater. After being rescued and given CPR by Eugene Stachurski, who was there installing equipment in Usher’s home, the boy was taken to the hospital by paramedics. Doctors performed several tests on the child and soon confirmed that he would be alright. Starchurski told TMZ, “I thank God I as there to do something.” Both Usher Raymond V and his little brother Naviyd are in good health and are still living with their father. [TMZ]

•Estelle is taking a new approach to her career with the launch of her independent label, New London Records, in partnership with BMG. “This is a new and exciting move for me,” said Estelle. “BMG has been an awesome partner throughout my career, and with New London we plan to continue bridging the gap between soul, pop, London and New York – uniting them through music.” The British songstress is preparing to release her 3-volume EP Love & Happiness on New London Records with the first installment, Vol. 1: Love Jones already available. Vol. 2: Waiting to Exhale will release later this month and Vol. 3: How Stella Got Her Groove Back, is set for an October release. Estelle’s fourth album will also drop on her new label in February 2014. [Rap-Up]

• It has been confirmed that NeNe Leakes will return to Glee for season five of the Fox hit drama. Playing the snappy Coach Roz, Leakes will appear in several episodes throughout the season. “Up late reading my Glee script. Coach Roz is a beast. I love her,” she recently Tweeted. There is no word as to which episodes of season 5 Leakes will appear on, but fans of the reality star can also catch her on the Bravo network this fall. Leakes will be the focus of the reality show I Dream of NeNe, which is set to return September 17 and she’ll also continue to appear on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Season five of Glee premieres September 26 on Fox. [E! Online]
