Usher’s 5-year-old son Usher V has been hospitalized following a pool accident at the singer’s Atlanta home, reports TMZ.
According to reports, Usher V’s hand got stuck in a pool drain as he attempted to reach for a toy. A relative and a maid standing nearby tried, unsuccessfully, to help him free his hand. Two male employees eventually helped free him. He was immediately given CPR and rushed to a hospital in the Atlanta area.
The child’s mother, Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond, was immediately called to the hospital. “She almost collapsed when she heard the news,” a source tells PEOPLE. Raymond faced another tragedy a year ago when her 11-year-old son Kile Glover was killed in a jet-skiing accident.
