• A judge fined Rihanna $47,050 for repeatedly skipping depositions for a lawsuit she filed against her ex-accountants. Rihanna claims her old money managers mishandled her funds and owes her millions. After numerous attempts to get Rihanna to appear in court, the judge fined her and ordered her to sit for a deposition on August 28th. • Frank Ocean canceled the rest of his Australian tour dates. The Channel Orange singer tour a vocal chord on the opening night of the Australian leg of his You're Not Dead Tour. A promoter said, "…It was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show. It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal chords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice." [TGJ]
• Chris Rock has expensive taste. According to the New York Post, while shooting his latest movie, Rock felt the need to upgrade his earrings. He reportedly called the diamonds he was sporting "weak" and ordered a staff member to run to Tiffany's for another pair.
