The reality star files court papers in response to her estranged husband's divorce filing.
Just days after Porsha Stewart received news that her husband Kordell Stewart had filed for divorce, the reality star has submitted an official divorce response.
In court documents filed in Georgia, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star requested alimony and additional relief. Porsha has also requested to stay in the home she and Kordell have shared with his son, Syre.
The document goes on to explain that Porsha has not worked for two years and that she sold her business to focus on caring for Syre, setting her earning capacity back "significantly."
The former NFL quarterback filed papers last week claiming that the couple is now separated and their marriage is "irretrievably broken." In a statement released by Porsha shortly after the news broke, she seemed to be caught off guard by the news.
"Mrs. Stewart is disappointed about her husband's recent filing for divorce," read a statement released on her behalf Monday. "Mrs. Stewart had held off on filing for a divorce herself and remained committed to the marriage because Mr. Stewart promised to work on the marriage with her. Instead, he misled her and she found out about the filing in the media."
