How did you meet your man?
I first saw him after a play that I performed in. He was a little shy, so we didn’t get to formally introduce ourselves. He requested me as a friend on Facebook instead. After a few chats, we spoke on the phone and then went out on our first date.
Were you looking for love at the time?
I wasn’t. But, I was open to it.
What was your first impression of him?
Charlie was the most handsome man I had ever seen.
What was your first impression of her?
I knew there was something special about her when she smiled at me, but I missed out on the opportunity to explore it at that moment. I just hoped that I would have another chance.
Did you play hard to get?
Not at all!
Was it love at first sight?
When I think about that feeling I had the moment I first saw him, I know it was.
At what moment did you know he was “The One” for you?
It was the way he treated my best friend as though she was his family. I’ve never seen that before. She and I were like, “Oh my goodness!”
What’s one of the sweetest things he has ever done for you?
There are many, I must say! He once washed my car in his church clothes on his birthday, and filled up the tank!
How long did you date before you got engaged?
We had been dating for almost two years.
Best gift he ever got you?
It was the first gift he ever gave me. It’s a dolphin carousel. I love dolphins!
How did he pop the question?
He proposed at my church in front of the congregation after I read the weekly announcements. He had a dozen roses and said the best speech that I’ve ever heard. I couldn’t stop crying. I’m glad his best friend was there to record it for us!
