The South Carolina native earned a standing ovation from both the crowd and the judges.
Last night's episode of American Idol debuted the nation's top 10 contestants — one of whom will be named the winner in just a few short weeks.
That winner just might be Candice Glover, who stood out from the night's other performers. The 23-year-old from St. Helena Island, South Carolina, sang Tom Jones' "I Who Have Nothing," and her powerhouse performance won a standing ovation from both the crowd and the judges.
