See why we're having muffins with our brew:
• This Sunday's Oscars telecast will bring an ensemble tribute to musicals Les Misérables, Dreamgirls and Chicago. Jennifer Hudson and Catherine Zeta-Jones will join the cast of Les Misérables for a star-studded number. "We are pleased to have been able to amass so much talent to create the celebration of musicals of the last decade that we envisioned," said Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. In addition, Adele, Norah Jones and Barbra Streisand are scheduled to perform seperate songs. [LA Times]
• Mel B will be the newest judge on the summer TV show America's Got Talent, replacing Sharon Osbourne. The Spice Girl is no stranger to competition shows. Mel B was a judge on the Australian version of The X Factor and was a guest host on the UK version. [Entertainment Weekly]
• Young race car driver Darrell Wallace Jr. will become the fourth Black full-time NASCAR driver. When the 19-year-old gets behind the wheel this Friday at the Daytona International Speedway, he'll make history. He wants to be a role model for future generations. "It's kind of up to me," Wallace said. "It's kind of a huge weight." [Huffington Post]
• Grammy award winning singer Frank Ocean is nearly ready to release a new album. He says he's about 10 or 11 songs into recording and plans to collaborate with some up and coming artists in the near future. As of right now, Ocean is headed to Bora Bora for some R&R and to record more music. There's no word on when it will be released. Yesterday, Ocean also picked up a Brit Award for Best International Male Solo Artist. [Perez Hilton]
