The Tony-Award winner said "I Do" to fellow Broadway star, Will Swenson.
Tony-Award winner Audra McDonald is having one heck of a year. Just months after winning her fifth Tony Award for her prortrayal of Bess in the Broadway musical Porgy and Bess, McDonald married fellow Broadway actor Will Swenson at their home in New York this weekend, reports PEOPLE.
The former Private Practice star met her new hubby in 2007 and has been engaged since New Years Eve 2011. This will be the second marriage for both stars, who each have children with their previous spouses. McDonald and Swenson tell PEOPLE they're most looking forward to their new life as wife, husband and “wee posse of three,” referring to their newly blended family which now includes McDonald's daughter Zoe, 11, and Swenson's two children.
McDonald recently wrapped up a historic 322-performance run of Porgy on Broadway.
Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
