VH1 takes a stand against domestic violence and cancels Chad and Evelyn's reality show.
Reality TV stars Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada continue to deal with the fallout from their real life drama, which unfolded after Johnson was arrested for domestic violence over the weekend. VH1 is puling the plug on their reality show Ev and Ocho, which was originally scheduled to premiere the first week of September.
The network tells TMZ, "Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it."
Johnson and Lozada got into an altercation Saturday after the Basketball Wives star reportedly found a receipt for condoms in Johnson's Masarati. Johnson then allegedly head-butted his new wife. Lozada reportedly suffered a three-inch laceration across her forehead and was sent to the emergency room at West Side Regional Hospital in Florida, where she was treated and released.
Johnson was taken to Broward County Jail, where he was booked and released on $2,500 bail. There is a no-contact court order in place, barring Johnson from speaking to his wife. Not soon after his release, he was let go from the Miami Dolphins just months after joining the team.
