The queen of all divas turns 68 today. Diana Ernestine Earl Ross was born on March 26, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan. She would go on to become a defining part of the city's breakout Motown sound as the lead singer of the legendary group The Supremes and eventually embark on a glamorous solo career.

With a career that spans four decades, Ms. Ross, isn't called "The Boss" for nothing. Her career has defined a number of musical genres from doo-wop, to soul, to disco and R&B, and we've loved her through each era. Earlier this year, despite never winning a Grammy, she was given the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award for her illustrious career.

At 68, Ross is still turning us "Upside down ... inside out and round and round." We wish her many more beautiful years to come.

Happy 68th Birthday, Diana Ross!
