In honor of Black History Month, naturalistas in Chicago gathered to honor our rich heritage at the Celebrate Black HERstory Month event. The celebration was hosted by the Chicago Natural Beauty Meetup and included a panel discussion on natural hair history and a marketplace for Black entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses. Best of all, these loc'd and twisted sisters got to revel in their natural beauty while swapping hair secrets with fellow natural hair-wearers and popular bloggers, too.

"The Celebrate Black HERstory event was a Black History Month event with a twist," said event organizer Rachel Odem. "We shared our hair stories and joined together for a fun afternoon of women's empowerment to celebrate the beauty of Black women, our history and our natural hair."
