Houston's family has made arrangements to have the body flown to New Jersey.
The L.A. Coroner has released Whitney Houston's body, according to People. That's the latest news regarding the pop star who died on Saturday at 48.

"The investigation is ongoing," said Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter. "It's too early to tell."
Currently, the coroner's office is performing toxicology tests that don't require the body.
Houston was found in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton Hotel room hours before she was slated to appear at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy party.

Thus far, we've learned that water was found in Houston's lungs and several Rx bottles were found on the scene according to TMZ.
Houston's mother, Cissy, has made arrangements to have her daughter's body flown back to New Jersey. Tyler Perry offered his private plane to the family.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
