The Carter's welcome their bundle of joy and release details on her birth.
The Blue Ivy Carter welcoming party continues. Just this evening, Beyonce and Jay-Z released a joint statement thanking fans for their support, and clearing up earlier reports that she was delivered via C-section.

"We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012," they wrote. "Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support."

Previous reports indicated that Beyonce had a scheduled C-section on Saturday and also rented out an entire floor of New York's Lenox Hill Hospital for $1.3M, though a hospital rep says the figure is exaggerated.
In other baby Blue news, her father Jay-Z kicked off the week by releasing a song called "Glory" that instantly became the topic of conversation. Not only did it feature a cameo by Blue but it revealed that Beyonce suffered a miscarriage.
