There’s no need for a publicist when Mariah Carey is your wife.

Thanks to Twitter, the singer has been keeping fans abreast of her husband Nick Cannon’s health ever since he fell ill with “mild kidney failure” earlier this week.

“Nick is in stable condition with a good prognosis, hopefully he’ll be discharged within 2 days,” she tweeted on Friday afternoon. “As always he’s laughing and in good spirits.”

Carey also shared a photo of herself giving Nick a kiss on the cheek in his hospital bed, surrounded by flowers and “Get Well Soon” balloons.

It was Carey who broke the news about Cannon’s hospital visit. “Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure,” she tweeted on Wednesday, noting that her hubby was in a lot of pain.
