"This is a dream come true," says the 19-year-old singing sensation.
"X-Factor" winner Melanie Amaro's dreams are coming true, twofold. The 19-year-old vocal sensation has signed a recording contract with judge L.A. Reid's Epic Records.

The $5M record deal is part of Amaro's winning package for taking home the show's top honor. She will also star in her very own Pepsi commercial.
Despite his disagreements with fellow judge Simon Cowell, Reid says he's excited to sign Cowell's mentee (Amaro) to his label. "I joined 'The X Factor' to be able to discover undeniable talent such as Melanie," he said in a press release. "I am pleased that she is now signed to Epic Records because I believe we have only scratched the surface on uncovering her talent."
