Coffee Talk: Aretha Franklin Picks Halle Berry for Biopic
Happy Friday, ladies! There's so much steam in our cups this morning. Aretha Franklin has chosen the cast for a film based on her autobiography, "Aretha: From These Roots." She'd like to cast Halle Berry to play her, and Denzel Washington her father. As we all know, what the Queen of Soul wants, she gets. In other movie news, Terry McMillian has confirmed that a "Waiting to Exhale" sequel is in the works, and three of the four original actresses have signed on to return. Sadly, gospel star Marvin Sapp's wife Malinda has died of colon cancer. Our thoughts are with his family.
Here's what you had to say:
Iyanna commented via Facebook: "I think Jill Scott would have been a better fit to play Aretha Franklin."
LaTresa wrote via Facebook: "I'm sorry to hear about Marvin Sapp's wife. My prayers go to him and his family."
